I have gambled on millions of rounds of vingt-et-un. I began working my way into the gambling halls when I was sixteen. I have played online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of money at 21. The casinos have made it almost impossible to defeat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and wager on a regular basis. Over this time period I have played a type of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get flush with this method or beat the casino, however you will experience a lot of fun. This method is based on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a game of runs. When you’re hot your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I bet the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the action back down to the original sum.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets very exciting at times. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome streaks a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a few years ago with $750 after 45 mins using this tactic! And a number of months ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You must understand that you can relinquish a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be astonished at the runs you see betting this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar game.

Take $20 paid to you, leave the first $20 wager

Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the original forty dollar bet
Wager $40
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Bet $80
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original $80 wager
Bet 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the first $160 wager
If you left at this moment you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It is difficult to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and drop your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
